Jesse B. Blayton, Sr.

Good morning family and friends! Jesse B. Blayton, Sr. is the first African-American to own and operate a radio station. His radio station, WERD-AM, was established in Atlanta, Georgia on October 3, 1949. A Reality of Slavery

Slavery here in the United States was not a pretty picture as you see here. A white child was using one of the African’s, who were used as a slave, in order to ride like a horse.

Hannibal of Carthage

Hannibal of Carthage may be the greatest military commander. I respect the courage that he had as he lead his people through many battles. He lived between 247 B.C.- 183 B.C. He is an example of the greatness that exists within us as African-Americans. I am thankful to be a black man without shame, guilt, or a desire to change that reality.
