Good morning family and friends! Jesse B. Blayton, Sr. is the first African-American to own and operate a radio station. His radio station, WERD-AM, was established in Atlanta, Georgia on October 3, 1949. Slavery here in the United States was not a pretty picture as you see here. A white child was using one of the African’s, who were used as a slave, in order to ride like a horse.
