Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable

Celebrating accomplishments of African Americans. Jean Baptiste Pointe du Sable founded the City of Chicago during the 1780s. Chicago is now the third largest City in the United States. He was born in Haiti in 1745 and died in St. Charles, Missouri, on August 28, 1818.
