Benefits of a Book Festival!

There Are Benefits to Attending a Book Festival

There are benefits to attending a book festival. I attended the Decatur Book Festival in the Atlanta, Georgia area, this past weekend, in order to promote my books. I am an Independent Author and my books are “100 Years: A Journey to End a Vicious Cycle” and “These Are Your Flowers.” The interactions while at the festival were priceless. I connected with several individuals such as writers, editors, authors, illustrators, publishers and most importantly readers. I gained a lot of useful and valuable information from this experience. I believe that book festivals are a must for an Independent Author. This is book promotions at its best! I think that authors can build fresh momentum for their books and their brand. One of the best things is adding a “face” and “personality” to an author. Remember that the author is the brand of his/her books. Besides the expenses of travel and renting booths, book festival can be “free” by walking around and working the festival. I wish continued success to all of the authors working tirelessly in order to gain exposure. I am actually checking my schedule for the next book festival. I encourage other authors to find an upcoming book festival near you and take advantage of this free promotion. It works if you work it! Positive Thinking!

Good morning everyone! Just wanted to share an excerpt from the book “100 Year.” “Today I am on a journey to make something good out of the rest of my life based on my efforts to turn my negative experiences into positive things. I appreciate and enjoy my freedom and I willingly accept the responsibilities that come with that. Today, I embrace life and understand the importance of family and being a good example to them. Life has a lot to offer and I will fight to protect the purpose I have found.” Have a good day everyone! The book is available on my website www.journey100years.com and on Amazon.
