10th Year Book Anniversary

I can remember it like it was yesterday. I finally finished and self-published my first book “100 Years: A Journey to End a Vicious Cycle.” I didn’t actually choose to be an Author, being an Author chose me. I say this because I realized that I needed to make significant changes in my life after serving more than a decade in prison. While in the process of making these changes, I realized that I was in the midst of a family vicious cycle. I noticed that many of the males in my family ended up in prison. I wrote down the names of my cousins and myself who’ve been in prison and added the time spent. With about 5 or 6 individuals, we quickly past 100 years in prison. This is where the title “100 Years” comes from. I knew at that moment that I had to do all that I could to break this vicious cycle. In addition to making positive changes in my own life, I then wrote the book. I poured my heart out and took responsibility for the part that I played in this story. I had to be honest with myself in this process. Though it was painful, it had to be done. My goal is now to prevent others from following in my footsteps. Mark thanks anyone who purchased, read, or supported his book in any way.

I have several ways that I plan on celebrating my 10th year Anniversary. Most of those ways are still in the developmental stages. I will start by having a Book Reading on YouTube LiveStream on Sunday. Share in the comments, if you’re interested in attending this Book Reading. I will send you a link to the Live Reading. Plans for 2025

What are your plans for 2025? First, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Years! Do you plan on coasting and continuing the same thing from 2024 or do you have a resolution to do something different? During the new year, some people will have a New Years Resolution! Some of these resolutions consist of things such as losing weight, exercising more, saving money, or making some kind of improvement in their lives. I agree that we should look to make improvements in our lives each day. The problem with having a New Years Resolution is that most people stop by the third week of January. My question is, how do you make improvements in your life without vowing to any resolution? Sometimes resolutions come with pressure from others. Sometimes this pressure is unwanted and has a negative impact on the individual who made the resolution.

I think that it’s important to be committed to making improvements to your life. There is no need to make a resolution to the world. Your commitment will show as you make daily strides in improving your life. As the old saying goes, you can show them better than you can tell them. Your walk will speak much louder than words. Let’s go during this 2025 year and make all the improvements that you want to make. My personal plans for 2025 are to make improvements in my life, at my own pace. I 3encourage you to do the same. Thanks for reading this and let’s make improvements as we see fit for our own lives. Happy New Years!

Happy Holidays!

I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday. Remember that this season is more than gifts and presents. It’s more than beautiful lights and Christmas trees. It’s more than all the good food that we plan on eating. It’s also more than fancy clothes and ugly sweaters. This Holiday season is time to enjoy and appreciate family and loved ones. Take this time to show the ones we love, just how much we do love them. Whatever you do, do it responsibly. I plan on watching movies, laughing, eating good, and sharing time with family. Share in the comments how you plan on making this holiday special. Happy Holidays to all.
