Get Rid of “Try”

There are a lot of words that I would like to use a lot less in my vocabulary. https://open.spotify.com/show/3ZHBhBOd4dfiJHGQeNWkG1?si=qary459HSAKliMdUxfHnqA The one that I chose in this case would be the word “Try.” This is not because the word try is a bad word. Actually, the word try do is motivational as we try new things. I do think that the word Try has the potential to set us up for failure. Why do I say that the word “Try” has the potential to set us up for failure?

I say this because the word Try leaves room for an easy exit when working on a task. I sometimes use that word with reservations where I can quit at any time. I would then have the liberty to say, well at least I tried. I don’t discourage anyone from trying anything new. In fact, I encourage anyone to try new things. Trying new things is what keep us moving forward and adding excitement to our lives. I do think that it’s better for me to approach any task with the mentality that I’m pursuing something or working on something. So today, I’m working to use the word Try a lot less in my vocabulary. I’m officially replacing the word try with the word working (working on).

Plans for 2025

What are your plans for 2025? First, I would like to wish everyone a Happy New Years! Do you plan on coasting and continuing the same thing from 2024 or do you have a resolution to do something different? During the new year, some people will have a New Years Resolution! Some of these resolutions consist of things such as losing weight, exercising more, saving money, or making some kind of improvement in their lives. I agree that we should look to make improvements in our lives each day. The problem with having a New Years Resolution is that most people stop by the third week of January. My question is, how do you make improvements in your life without vowing to any resolution? Sometimes resolutions come with pressure from others. Sometimes this pressure is unwanted and has a negative impact on the individual who made the resolution.

I think that it’s important to be committed to making improvements to your life. There is no need to make a resolution to the world. Your commitment will show as you make daily strides in improving your life. As the old saying goes, you can show them better than you can tell them. Your walk will speak much louder than words. Let’s go during this 2025 year and make all the improvements that you want to make. My personal plans for 2025 are to make improvements in my life, at my own pace. I 3encourage you to do the same. Thanks for reading this and let’s make improvements as we see fit for our own lives. Happy New Years!
