This is the story of how I got robbed, at gunpoint, in the City of Philadelphia! I was 20 or 21 years old at the time of the incident. I was living on the wrong side of the fence and went to make a pickup. I put myself in a bad situation and almost paid with my life. While being a street hustler, my main goal was to make a profit each day. This mindset put me in some very dangerous situations. As I went to make a pick-up, I was met with a man demanding my money and my shoes. I complied as he had a weapon in his hand. He told me to run and don’t look back. I did just that until out of his sight. Once I made it to my car, I was relieved. Though my money was gone, I was happy to be alive.
