Mark L Baynard overcame many obstacles in his life without blaming others or making excuses for the mistakes I made. While he was a teenager, he got involved with drugs and life in the streets. This behavior lead him straight to prison. After being released from prison for a second time, for drugs, he decide that he deserved more out of life. He also wanted to prevent others from making the same mistakes that he made. He moved from Delaware to Alabama in search of a fresh start. He got married to a beautiful woman and they now share a nine year old daughter together. He started working with troubled teenagers in order to assist in making a difference in their lives. He went on to earn a Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ashford University and a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Faulkner University. He is currently pursuing a Master's Degree between two University and two degrees (Troy University and Auburn University Montgomery). Mark shares his story in his book "100 Years, A Journey to End a Vicious Cycle." This book shares the some of the many mistakes that he made. His story also explains how his family collectively wasted more than one hundred years in prison and how he is working to end this cycle in his family as well as within our communities.
