I would love to visit Memphis, Tennessee! I’ve been learning more and more about Stax Records in Memphis. Stax Records was Founded in the early 1960’s by two siblings Jim Stewart and Estelle Axton. They made the following kinds of music: southern soul, funk, blues, rhythm and blues, and even gospel. There artist were Otis Redding, Johnny Talor, Isaac Hayes, among others. Stax Records now have a museum there in Memphis. I would also visit the hotel, now museum, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr was assassinated. Lastly, I’ve heard about the good soul food there. Looking forward to visiting Memphis, Tennessee to see the museums and get some good soul food.
This is the story of how I got robbed, at gunpoint, in the City of Philadelphia! I was 20 or 21 years old at the time of the incident. I was living on the wrong side of the fence and went to make a pickup. I put myself in a bad situation and almost paid with my life. While being a street hustler, my main goal was to make a profit each day. This mindset put me in some very dangerous situations. As I went to make a pick-up, I was met with a man demanding my money and my shoes. I complied as he had a weapon in his hand. He told me to run and don’t look back. I did just that until out of his sight. Once I made it to my car, I was relieved. Though my money was gone, I was happy to be alive. Math was my favorite subject while in school. Well, I’ll say basic Math. I’m pretty good with adding numbers in my head. While in elementary school, I was told that I was good in math. Math is probably the school subject that I use the most now. Share your thoughts in the comments.
